He Who Fears — Michel de Montaigne Quote T-Shirt

“He who fears he shall suffer, already suffers what he fears.”
— Michel de Montaigne
Essais, Book III, Ch. XIII, “Of Experience,” 1588. Translated by Charles Cotton, 1685–86. We check every line against a primary source.

He was writing about his kidney stones, and why he refused to check for symptoms. The sentence before it reads: “I shall soon enough feel the pain, without making it more and longer by the disease of fear.”

Wear it when you walk in. Have it once.
