About this line
Here’s the honest version: no one can verify Gandhi ever said this. The closest early wording belongs to a Brooklyn educator, Arleen Lorrance, writing in 1974: “Be the change you want to see happen.” The “in the world” version shows up in print by 1987. Gandhi did write something adjacent in 1913 in Indian Opinion — the idea is older than the attribution. That’s usually how the true ones work. We sell it and label it honestly — the label says “Commonly Attributed.” That attribution tier exists because some ideas are worth carrying even when the paperwork is incomplete. This is one of them.
