About This Line
The Creature isn’t threatening Victor so much as reasoning with him — laying out, with cold logic, that a being with nothing left to fear has nothing left to hold him back. Shelley wrote it young and published Frankenstein anonymously, before the world was ready to credit the founding text of science fiction to a woman.
