Bierce reserved special contempt for false certainty. Being “positive,” he decided, isn’t confidence — it’s being wrong loudly. One sentence that sketches an entire personality type.

Why we carry this line

You’ve met this person. You may have been this person. A nice reminder on your phone case. My issue is having lots of our phone cases (like this one) and only one phone.

The design

POSITIVE is the boldest word on the case, all capitals and leaning forward. Mistaken at the top of its voice.

The entry sits low, and the top half of the case is left empty. That’s yohaku, the Japanese idea that empty space is part of the design, not what’s left over. A dictionary page is crowded. This one isn’t.
